ASCET Monitor Window

The results of various operations are displayed in the ASCET monitor window in two tabs.

The Monitor tab shows the results of the following operations:

Code generation, experimenting (Analyzing Components, Experimenting with State Machines, Experimenting with Continuous Time Blocks, Experimenting with Projects)
Analysis of components (e.g., block diagrams, AUTOSAR software components, ESDL components)
Database optimizations (Optimizing a Database)
Export and import processes (Export of Folders and Database/Workspace Items, Import of Folders and Database/Workspace Items)
Search for operator implementations

Each time new information appears in the Monitor tab, this information is written to the Ascet_Monitor.log file in the ASCET log directory, e.g., C:\ETAS\LogFiles\ASCET.

The Messages tab shows the results of the following operations:

Code generation, experimenting
Analysis of diagrams
Import from AMD/AXL files (Special Features of the AMD/AXL Import)

You can read and save the content of both tabs. If you do not want to save the entire text of the Monitor tab, you can delete, copy and add sections in the monitor window in the same way as you can with any other text. The Edit menu contains the items Cut, Copy and Paste for this purpose. You can also find and replace text strings using Edit menu, and selecting Find/Replace.

Default options for the monitor window can be set in the "Monitor" node of the ASCET options window.
