Creating the SWC Content

Defining the content of a software component includes the following steps:

• placing a Signature Element (block diagram editor for SWCs only)

• creating the necessary elements:

  • basic elements or enumerations
  • arrays or matrices
  • normal or fixed characteristic lines/maps
  • distributions and group characteristic lines/maps,
  • messages
  • components as complex elements
• creating (block diagram editor for SWCs only) and using operators, among them If statements, switch, while loop, Conversion operator, Assert operator,
• connecting diagram elements (block diagram editor for SWCs only)

• edit the sequence calls (block diagram editor for SWCs only)

  You may also want to do the following:

• add implementation casts to connections or operators
• add a comment or a literal
• move or copy diagram items in the same diagram or between diagrams (block diagram editor for SWCs only)
• rename or delete diagram items
• search and delete unused elements
• use graphical hierarchies and statement blocks (block diagram editor for SWCs only)
