File Menu (Component Manager)
This menu contains the following functions:
New Database (<Ctrl> + <n>)
Opens the Select database or workspace dialog windowwhere you can specify a folder and name for the new database. The current database or workspace is closed. The new database is created and opened.
New Workspace (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <n>)
Opens the Select workspace file dialog window, in which you can specify a name for the new workspace. The current database/workspace is closed. The new workspace is created and opened.
Open (<Ctrl> + <o>)
Opens the Select database or workspace dialog window, in which you can select a database/workspace to open.
Close
Closes the current database/workspace.
Save (<Ctrl> + <s>)
Saves the changes in the database.
Save As... (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <s>)
Opens the "Save database as" dialog window, in which you can select an existing directory, or create a new one, to save the current database. A copy of the current database is saved in the directory. The copy is opened as the current database.
Import (<Ctrl> + <i>)
Imports database/workspace items from an export file and shows them in the "Database" or "Workspace" list.
Import directory (<Ctrl> + <Shift> + <i>)

Do not use this menu option for directories that contain export files of more than one type. In addition, do not use this menu option for directories that contain AMD or AXL files, even if that is the only export file type in the directory. |
Opens the Select Import Directory dialog window, where you can select a directory to import and specify import options.
Export (<Ctrl> + <e>)

This function is only available when ASCET-MD is installed. In that case, it is also available as a context menu in the "Database" or "Workspace" list. |
Exports selected items or entire folders from the "Database" or "Workspace" list into one or more export files.
Convert to Workspace

Opens the Database to Workspace Conversion wizard, which converts the current database into a workspace.
Migrate Databases

Opens the ASCET Database Conversion window, which allows the conversion of several databases stored in one directory.
