Calculating Checksums

To calculate the checksums:

  1. In the Devices field, select the devices for which you want to perform the selected action.
  2. In the Action field, activate Verify checksum.
  3. Check the Calibration access box.
  4. In the Apply to field, select the corresponding setting:

    • Data to calculate the checksum for the datasets
    • Code + Data to calculate the checksum for the datasets and the code page
  5. In the To field, highlight what you want the checksums to be calculated for:

    • Working page to use the working dataset
    • Reference page to use the reference dataset
    • Code page to use the code page (if you have selected Code +Data)

    To highlight more than one entry, press and hold the Shift key or the Ctrl key while you click.

  6. If necessary, activate or deactivate the ECU group in the Device group active field.
  7. Check the settings from the visual display of the selected action:

    The checksum is calculated for the orange-underlaid pages.

  8. Click Do It.

    The checksums are calculated and shown in the checksum display.

    If the dataset checksums show no differences, the dialog box closes. If the calculated checksums of the datasets are different, the corresponding datasets are underlaid red in the checksum display.
