Comparing a Reference Dataset with a Working Dataset

To compare the reference dataset and the working dataset in the Hex editor:

In the Devices field, select the devices for which you want to perform the selected action.
In the Action field, activate HEX view.
In the Apply to field, activate Data.
In the Page 1 field, highlight Working page or Reference page.
In the Page 2 field, highlight Reference page or Working page.
If necessary, activate or deactivate the ECU group in the Device group active field.
Check the settings from the visual display of the selected action:
The first page is underlaid blue, the second page is underlaid orange.
Click Do It.
The HEX editor window is opened for the two selected pages.
To compare the pages of the ECU, open the Options menu and select Data from ECU.
To compare the pages of the INCA database, remove the highlight of this menu function.
In the File menu, select Show Differences in List.
The Show differences dialog box opens, showing a list of all memory areas that are different.
