Adjusting the Usage of Global Settings

Note

AMD/AXL import messages can be promoted only on a global level.

By default, global message configurations override project-specific message configurations. However, the project-specific CodeGen Message Configuration window offers the possibility to disable global settings for selected messages.

  1. Open the project-specific CodeGen Message Configuration window.
  2. Select one or more messages with global configuration.

Messages with global configuration are marked by two symbols. The first symbol indicates the type of the global definition, the second symbol indicates the existence of a global definition.

  3. Right-click the selection and select Ignore Global Definition from the context menu.

    Note

This command is also available in the monitor window, in the context menu of a globally promoted message.

The second symbol is crossed out, the first symbol indicates the project-specific configuration of the message.

  4. If desired, promote and/or hide the message.

  5. To reactivate the global configuration, select Use Global Definition from the context menu of the message.
  6. Close the CodeGen Message Configuration window with OK.
