CT Block Editors – Window Elements
The editors for CT blocks contain the following window elements:
- Menu Bar
Toolbars
- General toolbar
- Elements toolbar
Note
This toolbar is available only in the block diagram editor for CT blocks.
This pane lists all elements of the component.
- Outline tab
- Navigation tab
- Database / Workspace tab
- Elements palette

This palette is available only in the block diagram editor for CT blocks.
- Library palette
Specification view
This view is used for component specification. It is selected via the Specification tab at the right-hand side of the editor window.
(version A: ESDL editor for CT blocks, version B: C code editor for CT blocks, version C: block diagram editor for CT blocks)
This view is used for component specification. It is opened via the Browse tab at the right-hand side of the editor window.
external editor view

This view is available only in the ESDL and C code editors for CT blocks.
This view is used for component specification via an external editor. It is opened with the
button in the General toolbar.- Search Results view
status bar
The status bar contains information on the element currently selected in the Outline tab (if the Mouse Over option on the Editors node of the ASCET options is deactivated).
If the Mouse Over option is activated, the status bar displays either information on the element in the Outline tab the mouse is currently placed on or – if the mouse is in the specification area – information on
- the element in the drawing area the mouse is currently placed on (block diagram editor for CT blocks)
- the element in the specification area the text cursor is placed in (ESDL and C code editors for CT blocks).
