Tree Pane

The Tree Pane contains following three tabs and filter functions:

Outline

In this tab all elements of the component self:<component name> are listed, provided they are selected in the ASCET options window, Outline Tree node and subnodes. In addition, all block methods are listed in this tab.

For a better handling of these elements you can use several filters and a search function:

	Opens the "Options" dialog window, reduced to the settings of the filter.
	Changes the criteria of sort.
	Expands the trees in the "Outline" tab.
	Collapses the trees in the "Outline" tab.
	Runs a search in the "Outline" tab for the admitted letters.

Navigation

In the ESDL or C code CT block editor, this tab shows all elements used in one of the methods in a tree view.

In the block diagram editor for CT blocks, this tab shows all graphical elements selected in the Navigation Tree node of the ASCET options dialog in a tree view.

Elements used in a method are displayed as subnodes of the method or process. A double-click on an element opens its method in the Specification view.

In the ESDL or C code CT block editor, subnodes of the elements contain the exact positions of the element occurrences in the ESDL or C code. A double-click on an an element location opens the element's method in the Specification view.

Note
If you delete graphic blocks from the Specification view of the block diagram editor for CT blocks, they still occur in the Navigation tree.

Database / Workspace

The upper part of this tab displays the folders and items contained in the current database/workspace. The database/workspace name is the root of the tree structure. Each database/workspace contains one or more folders, which in turn contain other folders and items.

The lower part of the tab displays any notes or internal comments on the item currently selected in the upper part.

	Expands the trees in the "Database"/"Workspace" tree.
	Collapses the trees in the "Database"/"Workspace" tree.
	Runs a search in the "Database"/"Workspace" tree for the admitted letters.
