Hardware Monitoring List

The Hardware Monitoring List shows the monitoring variables of the selected device. The monitoring variables reflect the state of the (X)ETK firmware and hardware. Information about the state of the ECU might also be included. These monitoring variables are available as measurement variables in your measurement and calibration tool, e.g. INCA.

It depends on the (X)ETK type if the display of monitoring variables is supported and which monitoring variables are displayed.

Note

A documentation for all devices and their standard monitoring variables can be found in the Manuals folder of your ETK Tools installation.

Moreover, the number of monitoring variables being displayed (and written as A2L entries) depends on the selected mode. The standard mode considers the usual monitoring variables, whereas the extended mode displays and writes additional monitoring variables which may be helpful for cause analysis in case of problems.

You can use the context menu to modify the way in which the information is displayed. With the Monitoring Description commands, you can select whether the name or the alias (display identifier) shall be displayed, and whether it should be preceded by the group name. With the Monitoring Value commands, you can switch the way in which the values are displayed. You can apply the setting to a single item in the list or to a group of items.
