Editing Trigger Conditions

To edit a trigger condition

  1. In the Defined Triggers window pane select the trigger condition to be edited.
  2. You can open the selected trigger condition in one of the following ways:

    • Toolbar Symbol
    • Context menu: Edit trigger
    • Hotkey: Return

      The formula of the trigger condition is displayed in the Trigger Definition window pane.

To replace a variable

  1. Click on any of the variables to be replaced.
  2. Open the variable selection dialog using one of the following options:

    • Toolbar Symbol
    • Context menu: Replace variable
    • Hotkey: Ctrl+r
  3. In the variable selection dialog box, select the variable to be selected.
  4. Click OK.

To replace comparison operators

  1. Select the comparison operator to be replaced.
  2. Double-click to insert the new comparison operator from the Toolbox window pane.
  3. Click Accept to accept the changes.

CAUTION

Semantic correctness is not checked! It is therefore possible for a measurement not to be started despite the syntactic correctness of the trigger condition.

Changes are not backed up permanently until the complete experiment is saved! If the experiment is finished without saving, all changes made in the Trigger Editor will be lost!
