To go to this tab, click the User Options
button and select the Data Exchange
tab.
For further information about data exchange, see Settings for Data Exchange: Detailed Information and Settings for Data Exchange: Supported Function.
You can perform the following settings:
Write defined only
Determines whether calibration variables containing fill bytes will also be written to data exchange files.
In the hex files, fill bytes can be used to fill up address ranges that are not contained in the original hex file. Whether fill bytes will be used in the hex files can be set in the INCA user options for Hex files with the option Bytes to write in HEX file.
yes
Only variables without fill bytes are written to data exchange files.
no
All variables, including those with fill bytes, are written to data exchange files.
Boolean format
Defines the format of Boolean (binary) values.
true/false
The values are displayed as true or false.
Integer
The values are displayed as the integers 0 or 1.
Note
When Boolean values are copied to the clipboard, they are copied with the notation that is selected in this user option.
Float infinity format
Defines the format for representing the float infinity values.
+ - Inf
The values are displayed as +-Infinity float value.
Double maximum
The values are displayed as +- double/float maximum value.
Exponential
Defines the maximum number of places shown as decimal places. If this number is exceeded, the numbers are shown in exponential form.
Defines whether values are clipped or truncated for actions in the application manager and read actions in the experiment environment. The precision of this clipping/truncating is defined in the ASAM-2MC COMPU_METHOD.
Defines the exact number of digits used for writing or reading data.
from ASAM-2MC file
Precision as defined in the ASAM-2MC file
by data type
Precision as defined by the respective data type
calculate automatically
Precision as defined by the minimal difference of adjacent values
Maximum precision
Precision as defined by definition of number format float64
calculate minimum difference/calculate automatically
Precision as defined by the minimal difference of adjacent axis points and the minimal difference of adjacent values
Settings for Data Exchange - Maximum PrecisionNote
When values of calibration variables are copied to the clipboard, they are copied with the precision that is selected in this user option.
Default path
Specifies the default path for reading and writing data exchange files.
Quality meta data
Note
The setting is available only if the INCA-QM-BASIC add-on is installed together with INCA.
Opens the Quality Meta Data dialog box, in which you can set preferences for the handling of quality meta data information.
