Adding Variables by Mask

To add variables by mask from the source dataset:

1. Select a source dataset.

2. In the Variables menu, select Add by mask and then Variables.

   The CDM: Search mask for Variables dialog box opens.

3. Enter the search criteria.

   You can use normal characters and the wildcard *. The wildcard * stands for no, one or more than one character. You can also use * in several positions.

   The search mask is not case-sensitive.

4. Click OK.

   The variables matching the search criteria are added to the Variables (& functions) to process list. If you enable instant comparison in the settings, the variables are compared with the variables of the active destination datasets. The results of the instant comparison are displayed as icons next to the variables.

   Additionally, the values and units are specified in brackets next to the scalar variables.
