Loading a Variable Selection

To load a variable selection from a file:

  1. In the Variables menu, select Open variable file.

A file selection dialog box opens.

  2. If the file you want does not have the extension .lab, select the correct type of file or All files.

You can use saved variable selections and result files containing variables.

  3. Select a file.
  4. Click Open.

The variables (and functions/groups if appropriate) in the file are added to the Variables (& functions) to process list. If you enable instant comparison in the settings, the variables are compared with the variables of the active destination datasets. The results of the instant comparison are displayed as icons next to the variables. Variables not saved in the file are removed from the list.

Additionally, the values and units are specified in brackets next to the scalar variables.
