Adding Variables by Variable File

To add a variable selection from a file to an existing variable selection:

  1. In the Variables menu, select Add variable file.

    A file selection box opens.

  2. If the file you want does not have the extension .lab, select the correct type of file or All files.

You can use saved variable selections and result files containing variables.

  3. Select a file.
  4. Click Open.

The variables saved in the file are added to the variables already selected in the Variables (& functions) to process list. If you enable instant comparison in the settings, the variables are compared with the variables of the active destination datasets. The results of the instant comparison are displayed as icons next to the variables.

Additionally, the values and units are specified in brackets next to the scalar variables.
