Creating a Module

1. In the "Database" or "Workspace" list, select a folder for the new module.

2. Do one of the following:

   • In the Insert menu, point to Module and select <item type>.

     The following item types are available: Block Diagram, C code, ESDL

   • Click the Insert Module – * button.

     The default item type is used.

   The new module is created with the selected item type, a default name and layout.

   Note
   For workspaces, the length of the path is limited to 180 characters. When the path of the new component would exceed that length, an error message opens and the procedure is aborted.

3. Edit the name and press <Enter>.
