Creating a Class

1. In the "Database" or "Workspace" list, select a folder for the new class.

2. Do one of the following:

   • In the Insert menu, point to Class and select <item type>.

     The following item types are available: Block Diagram, C code, ESDL, Conditional Table, Boolean Table.

   • Click the Insert Class * button.

     The default item type is used.

   The new class is created with a default name and layout.

   Note
   For workspaces, the length of the path is limited to 180 characters. When the path of the new component would exceed that length, an error message opens and the procedure is aborted.

3. Edit the name and press <Enter>.
