Results Windows

Results windows in ASCETcan have several names.

Add-ons, e.g. ASCET-SCM, can add further instances, with own names, of the results window.

Browse <search object>

These windows show the results of the following actions:

• Searching for Components
• Searching for Declarations of Methods/Processes/Runnables
• Searching for Declarations of Local Elements
• Searching for Declarations of Elements
• Searching for References to Elements
• Searching for Senders of Messages
• Searching for Receivers of Messages

Imported Items

This window shows the results of the following actions:

• Importing from AMD/AXL Files
• Importing from Binary Export Files
• Importing from ARXML or A2L Files
• Importing a Directory Content

Items with read problems in part proxies

This window shows the results of the following actions:

• Searching Unreadable Database Items

Unused <search objects>

These windows show the results of the Tools > Database > Find unused * = Components or Implementation Sets or Data Sets menu options.

You can double-click one of the results to highlight the respective component in the Component Manager.

In the Unused Components window, you can select one or more <search objects> and delete them via <Ctrl> + <d> or the Delete Selected context menu. To delete all unused components, right-click in the window and select Delete All from the context menu.

You cannot delete an unused data set or implementation set from the Unused <search objects> window. You have to open the component in its editor and proceed as described in Deleting a Data Set and Deleting an Implementation.
