Hardware Menu

In the Hardware menu you can find the following menu items:

Search for hardware

Searches for connected hardware

Disconnect Selected Device

Removes the selected device from the Hardware Device List; all links from configurations to this device are removed together with the device.

Upload

Uploads a configuration from the (X)ETK device to the XETK Configuration Tool. The current active configuration is overwritten.

Upload as new configuration

Uploads a configuration from the (X)ETK device to the XETK Configuration Tool. A new configuration is created in the active project.

Upload as new project

Uploads a configuration from the (X)ETK device to the XETK Configuration Tool. A new project file with one configuration is created.  

Download to

'Download to' writes the configuration to the (X)ETK device currently selected in the Hardware Device List.

Hex editor

Opens the Hex editor. Therein you can read and modify data in the ECU memory or (X)ETK memory.

Edit IP settings

Opens the  Edit IP settings window. Therein you can specify settings concerning the IP address of the (X)ETK device.

Edit alias

Opens the dialog 'Edit alias'. Therein you can assign an alias name to the (X)ETK device.

Set ECU reset on/off (toggle menu item)

On: The (X)ETK device causes an ECU Reset.

Off: The (X)ETK device does not cause an ECU Reset. It is unknown if there is an ECU Reset.    

Reboot XETK device

Triggers the (X)ETK to execute a self-reset. The connection gets re-established automatically after the reset.

Whether the ECU is reset together with the (X)ETK depends on the (X)ETK device type and the exact interface to the ECU.

Switch to ECU working page/reference page (toggle menu item)

Switches between the working page and the reference page of the ECU/(X)ETK.

ECU page switching is not supported for all (X)ETK device types.

Log Network Adapter Settings

If a connected device (ETK, XETK, FETK) is selected, this menu entry is available. If you click this menu item, all system settings for the associated network adapter are logged and displayed in the Application Log window.

Open IP Adress in Browser

Opens the standard browser using an FETK IP address.

Open ETAS Network Settings

Opens the ETAS Network Settings dialog.
