File Menu

In the File menu you can find the following menu items:

New Project ...

Creates a new projectClosed A project is a container for configurations. Projects offer the possibility to work with configurations. Projects allow you to use basic file management operations typical for MS Windows applications..

Open Project ...

Opens an existing project.

Append Existing Project ...

Appends an existing project (combines two projects) to the current project.

Append New Configuration ...

Appends a new configurationClosed A configuration is the virtual representation of all settings of an (X)ETK device. It is always assigned to one specific (X)ETK device type and always exists as part of a project. An (X)ETK configuration is valid, if it represents an (X)ETK device in that way that it works together with the ECU properly. to the current project.

Close Project

Closes the current project.

Close All

Closes all projects.

Save Project

Saves the changes within the project.

Save Project As ...

Saves the project to a new file.

Save All

Saves all opened projects.

Move / Copy Configuration As ...

Moves or copies the current configuration to another existing or a new project. It is possible to change the (X)ETK device type of the configuration to a compatible one at the same time (e. g. XETK-T2.1 to XETK-T2.0).

Delete Configuration

Deletes the current configuration from a project.

Generate Project Config File ...

Generates an XML file forthe export of the project configuration data..

Generate Hardware Configuration File ...

Generates an XML file for the export of configuration data.

Generate Device Configuration for Standard XCP use case …

Generates a full device hardware configuration setup for a 3rd party device configuration use case.

Note  

For this Configuration Timer Rasters are ignored.

Create A2L File

Generates the entries for the text file (*.txt) required for the export of configuration data.

Import A2L File and Project Config File ...

Imports files of the standard exchange format 'A2L' and additionally an XML File with the project configuration.

Import A2L File ...

Imports files of the standard exchange format 'A2L'.

Exit

Quits the program.
