Configuration Window

The Configuration Window is the one with the most user interactions.

At the top of the configuration window, you find the following items:

  • At the very top, the configurationClosed A configuration is the virtual representation of all settings of an (X)ETK device. It is always assigned to one specific (X)ETK device type and always exists as part of a project. An (X)ETK configuration is valid, if it represents an (X)ETK device in that way that it works together with the ECU properly. tabs of the opened configurations are displayed. The configurations can be part of different projects. In order to show graphically which configurations are part of the same project, the page icons on the configuration tab have the same color if the configurations belong to the same project.
  • Below, there is a text box showing the name of the project the selected configuration belongs to.

    Next to this field, you find the Project Identification field. You can enter plain text describing the project, which is saved together with the project. The text can be up to 64 characters long and may not contain any semicolons.

  • Below, there is the Hardware device field. You can link the (X)ETK device with the active configuration via upload or download. Having done this, in the Hardware device field, the linked (X)ETK device is displayed with the product name and the serial number.
