Configuration Window
The Configuration Window is the one with the most user interactions.
At the top of the configuration window, you find the following items:
- At the very top, the tabs of the opened configurations are displayed. The configurations can be part of different projects. In order to show graphically which configurations are part of the same project, the page icons on the configuration tab have the same color if the configurations belong to the same project.
-
Below, there is a text box showing the name of the project the selected configuration belongs to.
Next to this field, you find the Project Identification field. You can enter plain text describing the project, which is saved together with the project. The text can be up to 64 characters long and may not contain any semicolons.
- Below, there is the Hardware device field. You can link the (X)ETK device with the active configuration via upload or download. Having done this, in the Hardware device field, the linked (X)ETK device is displayed with the product name and the serial number.
At the bottom of the Configuration Window you see the tabs:
- Hardware Settings Editor
- Memory Layout Editor
- Raster Editor
- DISTAB Editor (available only for (X)ETK device types supporting DISTAB
Display Table; DISTAB is a method for the acquisition of measurement variables from the ECU. It uses two different tables for each raster: an address table and an output table. The DISTAB address table specifies the ECU addresses of the variables that are to be measured; moreover the address table header contains a flag indicating whether the raster is enabled or disabled, as well as information on the byte size of the variables to be measured. The measurement variables are written to the DISTAB output table.)
- Flash Programming (available only for XETK device types supporting Flash programming)
- Bypass Editor (available only for XETK device types supporting additional bypass methods)
- Logger (available only for BR_XETK-S3.0A / BR_XETK-S3.0C in Extended Mode)
