Download Configuration to (X)ETK Device

Downloading means to load the active configurationClosed A configuration is the virtual representation of all settings of an (X)ETK device. It is always assigned to one specific (X)ETK device type and always exists as part of a project. An (X)ETK configuration is valid, if it represents an (X)ETK device in that way that it works together with the ECU properly. from the active (X)ETK configuration to an (X)ETK device that is listed in the Hardware Device List.

'Download to' writes the configuration to the (X)ETK device currently selected in the Hardware Device List.

  1. In the Hardware menu, click on Download to.
    The dialog 'Download configuration' opens.
  2. Click OK to confirm the dialog.
The busy window 'Download Configuration' is displayed during the process.

If there is no (X)ETK device found or selected in the Hardware Device List, the Download to menu item is not available.

The item Download to isonly available if the currently selected configuration is valid. 'Valid' means there are no inconsistencies or errors in any part of the configuration.

Download is possible only in the following cases:
The configuration and the actual (X)ETK device are of the same type, or the actual (X)ETK is a successor of the type in the configuration.
Example: You can download a configuration for an XETK-T2.0 to an XETK-T2.1 device, but you can not download a configuration for an XETK-T2.1 to an XETK-V2.0 device.
