Upload from (X)ETK Device by overwriting the active Configuration

This option is only available if at least one project exists in the XETK Configuration Tool workspace. The XETK Configuration Tool copies the configuration data of the (X)ETK device into the active configuration. Thus the active configurationClosed A configuration is the virtual representation of all settings of an (X)ETK device. It is always assigned to one specific (X)ETK device type and always exists as part of a project. An (X)ETK configuration is valid, if it represents an (X)ETK device in that way that it works together with the ECU properly. is overwritten.

  1. In the Hardware menu, click on Upload.

    The dialog opens 'Upload Configuration'.

  2. Confirm the dialog by clicking on the OK button.

    The active configuration and the whole project is set to 'modified'.

Both of the configurations must be of the same type.

If the configuration in the (X)ETK device contains hardware configuration parameters that are only visible in extended mode, but the XETK Configuration Tool is set to standard mode, the tool will temporarily switch to extended mode in order to overwrite the hardware configuration parameters.
