ES592 Interface Module (ETK, CAN, LIN and Ethernet)

The ES592 is a fully Ethernet-compatible compact device for high-performance applications. It supports all important functions for control device application via memory emulation with an ETK.

Additionally, it enables connection to the control device via the CAN interface. This way, it can be used for all functions designed to operate the diagnostic services of a control unit, such as reading the error memory or programming control units using flash memory. It also support recording and capturing communication data that is exchanged using CAN. The ES592 automatically handles data exchange and relieves the PC from all time-critical protocol tasks.

Moreover, the ES592 supports LIN monitoring.

ES400 and ES63x devices in Daisy Chain configuration that are connected to an ES592 module are displayed under the Daisy Chain Modules system in the tree view of the Hardware Configuration Editor.
XETK devices that are connected to an ES592 module are displayed under the Ethernet system in the tree view of the Hardware Configuration Editor.

System limits

The ES592 has the following interfaces:

The configuration of the LIN interface is possible only if the Add-On INCA-LIN was also installed.

INCA supports up to eight ES592 modules simultaneously.

Regardless of which interfaces you use, you have to set global parameters for the ES592. These settings then apply to all integrated interfaces.
