Model Based Application Using XCPSimTime
To cut expenditure on early prototypes, software that normally runs in an ECU environment is increasingly being simulated on PC systems during the development of control unit software.
For this purpose, you can insert the virtual XCP device XCPSimTime in the Hardware Configuration Editor. This device is available in all systems which support the XCP protocol and, in INCA, has the same parameter set as any other XCP device.
Note |
Unlike "real" XCP devices, the time stamp is not synchronized with the PC clock, or, therefore, with any other devices. For this reason, you are not advised to use real and virtual devices in the same experiment. Specifications for implementing XCP in ETAS calibration systems can be obtained directly from ETAS. |
