Actions
In the Calibration Data Manager, you can carry out the following actions with the datasets:
List
Displays the contents of the source dataset.
You can choose between the ASCII, HTML and PDF display formats as well as data exchange formats CVX, DCM, CDF V2.0 and PaCo for the output. Additional output formats may be available through customer-specific add-ons.
List to eCDM
Note
This action is only available if the eCDM add-on is installed.
The basic functionality of List to eCDM is the same as of the action List. In addition to that, the resulting data exchange files are automatically transmitted to the connected Enterprise CDM system.
Compare
Compares one or more destination datasets to one source dataset.
You can choose between the following formats for the compare log: ASCII, HTML or PDF. Additional output formats may be available through customer-specific add-ons.
Copy
Copies the contents of the source dataset to one or more datasets.
You can choose between the following formats for the copy log: ASCII or HTML.
If you carry out an action, a corresponding output file is generated in the selected format.
In addition, results are displayed in the Results field:
No errors of this result type have occurred.
Errors of this result type have occurred. The number of results and the result type are shown next to this symbol.
There are no results to display, for example, because they are not relevant for the selected action.
Files are generated for each result type.
If a result of type Error occurs, the action for the corresponding variable has not been performed. If no result of type Error occurs, the action has been performed.
You can define the naming conventions of output files and result files in the path settings and in the path settings for function mode. File name extensions are predefined and cannot be modified.
You can add variables that are listed in result files to the variable selection or remove variables from the variable selection. This allows you to use the results directly in subsequent actions.
