ASCMO-DYNAMIC ExpeDes
ASCMO-DYNAMIC ExpeDes is a tool for creating experiment plans based on Design of Experiments (DoE).
Design of experiments is a method for data-based modeling of unknown systems. At the beginning of the modeling is the experiment plan with which data are obtained for the model training using a minimum measuring effort – this data record is subsequently used to train the model. The models, in turn, are based on mathematical approximation methods and are capable of reproducing the behavior of the measured system.
Goal of the modeling is the evaluation and optimization of the system behavior, e.g. for an internal combustion engine the determination of the input variables that lead to optimal output variables (maximum performance, minimum consumption/emission).
ASCMO-DYNAMIC ExpeDes Working Steps
Working with ASCMO-DYNAMIC ExpeDes contains the individual steps for creating an experiment plan:
-
This is the first step in which the number of measurements and the number and configuration of the inputs is defined for the experiment plan.
-
In this step, constraints of the measurement range can be made for a variable.
-
In this step, compressions of measuring points in certain areas of the measuring space can be specified for inputs by area.
-
This step allows you to define operating points for the system, which have a frequency of stay in the experiment plan. In addition you can define steady state phases and the duration of the steady state phases.
-
In this step, the experiment plan can be divided into several parts (blocks) that can be measured separately. Each block by itself corresponds to the requirements of the design of experiments and is space filling.
-
This step allows you to include external cycles into your experiment plan.
-
This step allows to add and specify additional inputs calculated from formulas.
-
In this step, the properties of the project and the experiment plan itself are displayed which can be exported to a file at this point.
