Editing a Sequence Call in the Sequence Editor

This topic applies only to SWCs specified as block diagrams.

To edit a sequence call, block-local sequence call, or connector in the Sequence Editor, proceed as follows:

  1. Right-click a sequence call in the drawing area and select Edit from the context menu.

    The Sequence Editor opens.

  2. From the Method/Process Name combo box, select the method/process for a normal sequence call.

    For a block-local sequence call, the name of its statement block is the only possible selection.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • In the Sequence Number field, set the number of the sequence call.
    • Click Next free to set the next free number for the selected method/process.

      Note

      Next free is not available for connectors and block-local sequence calls.

  4. In the Sequence Shift Offset field, enter the offset value for a sequence shift.
  5. In the Sequence Step Size field, enter the step size for automatic determination of the sequence number.
  6. Activate the Use Gaps option if gaps between existing numbers are to be taken into consideration in the automatic determination of sequence numbers.
  7. Click OK.

    A check is carried out to see whether the set combination of number and – for sequence calls – process/method or statement block has already been assigned. If not, the combination is assigned to the sequence call or connector and displayed in the block diagram.

    Sequence Shift Offset, Sequence Step Size and Use Gaps are accepted in the Sequencing node of the ASCET option window.

The Closedfollowing rules apply for determining the number using Next free.
