Defining the Scheduling in the OS Editor

This topic is irrelevant for projects that either contain AUTOSAR software components or use the EHOOKS target. The OS tab is present when you create the project, but once you have selected the ANSI-C target and an AUTOSAR operating system, or the EHOOKS target, the OS tab disappears.

Several actions are required to define the scheduling in the OS editor.

  1. Make the operating system settings:

    1. for RTA-OSEK or Generic OSEK
    2. for Generic OS
  2. Create and set up the necessary tasks.
  3. Assign processes to the tasks.
  4. Assign application modes to the tasks.

If necessary, you can shift or deassign processes in tasks, you can check which processes or application modes are assigned to tasks and vice versa (Checking the Origin and Checking which Application Mode is Assigned to a Task). You can even open the parent component of a process.
