Selecting the Items for Generating Documentation

  1. In the Component Manager, open the Tools menu, then point to Documentation and select Contents.

If you do so for the first time, you are asked to provide a path to a LaTeX installation. Proceed as described in Providing a Path to LaTeX, and repeat step 1 of this instruction.

The Documentation Contents dialog window opens.

  2. Do one or more of the following:

    • Drag one or more top-level folders from the Component Manager and drop them onto the Top Folder pane of the Documentation Contents window.

All items are shown in the Items pane. The name of the top folder is shown in the upper pane.

    • Drag one or more items or lower-level folders from the Component Manager and drop them onto the Items pane of the Documentation Contents window.

If you drag a folder into the window, all items are shown in the Items pane. The name of the top-level folder is shown in the upper pane.

    • Open the Document menu and select Load Document Items from File to load a previously saved documentation content list.
  3. Activate the Referenced Items option at the bottom of the window to have referenced items included in the documentation contents as you add new items.
  4. If necessary, change the selection.
  5. If desired, store the documentation contents to a file.
  6. Generate the documentation for the selected items.
