Providing a Path to LaTeX
When you select items for documentation generation, or set documentation options, for the first time, you are asked to provide a path to a LaTeX installation.
Confirm the message with OK.
The Path Selection dialog window opens.
Select a volume in the Volume combo box.
Select the LaTeX directory from the Directories list.
You must select the directory that contains the bin subdirectory, e.g., C:\Program Files\MiKTeX <x>.<y>\miktex\.
Click OK to close the Path Selection dialog window.
The path you selected is written to the docu.ini file in the ASCET data directory ETASData\ASCET6.4. To change the path, you have to edit the docu.ini file.
Restart ASCET for the path setting to become effective.
If there is no LaTeX installation on your PC, you can close the Path Selection dialog window with Cancel. After that, the Documentation Contents window or the "ASCET Document Options" window opens, and you can continue. You cannot, however, generate documentation in postscript format.
