Import A2L File and Project Config File

This function is an extension to the "Import A2L File" functionality. It offers the possibility to import files of the standard exchange format 'A2L' (ASAM MCD-2MC) and project config files of the format 'XML'. Standard A2L files contain one or more (X)ETK device configurations. It can be seen as a project file of a different file format. The XETK Configuration Tool reads an A2L file and extracts the data used for an (X)ETK configuration. This extracted information is not sufficient to create a fixed device configuration for MCD. The additional information is provided by the Project Config File, so that a valid fixed device configuration is created which can be downloaded without further changes.

To import an A2L file and a Project Config File:

In the File menu, click Import A2L File and Project Config File.
On your file system, select the A2L file you would like to import.
Click on the Open button.
On your file system, select the Project Config XML file you would like to apply to the A2L file.
Click on the Open button.
The Import A2L Filebusy window is displayed during the import. A new project is created in the Configuration Window.
