Module Parameters for OBDonUDS
For using OBDonUDS, it is necessary to read in ODX project file(s) (*.prj, *.pdx, or *.odx). For detailed information, see the ODX-LINK User Guide.

The OBDonUDS device is only available if the ODX-LINK add-on was installed together with INCA. An OBDonUDS device can - like any INCA device - only communicate with one ECU at a time. If you want to communicate with several ECUs at the same time, you have to create an individual OBD device for each one and configure it. |
The following shows the module parameters for OBDonUDS:
Parameters tabNameEnter any name for the hardware module.
Baud rateDefines the baud rate for transmission.

It is recommended that you automatically configure the baud rate from the connected hardware by selecting the function Search For OBD ECUs from the Hardware menu. Alternatively, you can also set it manually by selecting it from the Baud rate list of the parent CAN controller. |
Standard or Extended CAN-IDSelect CAN-ID mode (Standard ECU-ID or Extended ECU-ID) used by ECU. According to the selected mode, another parameter (Standard ECU-ID or Extended ECU-ID) needs to be specified.

It is recommended that you automatically configure the CAN ID settings from the connected hardware by selecting the function Search For OBD ECUs from the Hardware menu. Alternatively, you can also set them manually by selecting them from the corresponding fields (Standard or Extended CAN-ID as well as Standard ECU-ID or Extended ECU-ID). |
Standard ECU-IDSelect ECU-ID for standard CAN-ID mode.

This parameter is only enabled if Standard ECU-ID is selected for the parameter Standard or Extended CAN-ID. |
Extended ECU-IDSelect ECU-ID for extended CAN-ID mode.

ODX Parameters tab ODX ProjectShows the name of the assigned ODX project from the INCA database.

You cannot edit this field. To change the ODX project, you must select Configure ODX from the Hardware menu or click on the corresponding toolbar icon. It is recommended for the OBDonUDS device type to use the ETAS ODX project for OBD diagnostics, which can be found in your ETASData location, below the ODX folder under Projects\OBDonUDS_ETAS_SAEJ1979-2. |
