ES523 Interface Module (CAN FD, Ethernet)
The ES523 is an ECU and bus access device supporting the fast CAN FD standard on all 4 CAN channels.
All CAN interfaces support the wake up functionality over CAN. Fast boot is not supported.
ES523 offers excellent flexibility for cases where several XETK and Daisychain systems shall be combined with CAN measurements.
ES400 and ES63x devices in Daisy Chain configuration that are connected to an ES523 module are displayed under the Daisy Chain Modules system in the tree view of the Hardware Configuration Editor.
XETK devices that are connected to an ES523 module are displayed under the Ethernet system in the tree view of the Hardware Configuration Editor.
System limits
The ES523 has the following interfaces:
Four CAN-FD interfaces
ISO and non-ISO CAN-FD is supported via the INCA hardware configuration switch.
INCA supports up to eight ES523 modules simultaneously.
You have to set global parameters for the ES523. These settings then apply to all integrated interfaces.
Module parameters
Enter any name for the system.
Shows the serial number read from the device.
If the hardware is not connected or if it was not found during the hardware search, enter the complete number by hand (it can be found on the device).
The serial number must be entered as it is needed by INCA to identify the device. The serial number is stored in the hardware configuration.
Enter an internal name of the device. It is stored in the device like the serial number and helps you to distinguish between devices of the same type. By assigning a unique name which expresses the role of the device, it can be used more conveniently than the serial number, especially when you link the devices in the Hardware Mapping dialog box. The alias name is used, for example, if you switch between different vehicles when measuring with the laptop or if you have installed different devices of the same type in the vehicle.
Shows the firmware version of the connected hardware module.
Shows the hardware connection between the hardware and the PC.

Application options
Via the CAN interface:
Measurement and Serial Calibration Using CCP
Measurement and Calibration Using UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services)
Model Based Application Using XCPSimTime
Diagnostics Using OBDonCAN (available only with ODX-LINKadd-on)
Via the Ethernet interface:
Module Parameter for Ethernet (ETH) Interface
Module Parameter for Ethernet Monitoring
