Adjusting Axes
If an axis scale does not fit with the presented values, the display area may be exceeded or the display is too small. INCA offers multiple options for optimizing the display area.
To automatically adjust the axis range when the display area is exceeded:
- Open the context menu on the display area.
Select the Dynamic Axis Adaptation setting.
When the axis range is exceeded, it will be automatically adjusted.
Note
When using multiple axes, you can select this setting separately for each axis. To do so, open the context menu above each respective axis or use the Axes section in the display properties.
To adjust values already in the oscilloscope to fit into the display area:
- Open the context menu on the display area or on an axis.
Select the Zoom to fit function.
The values will be adjusted to fit into the display area.
Note
This function can also be accessed via a symbol (
) in the oscilloscope toolbar. This function does not continually optimize the display, but is rather a one-time function. The effect depends on where it is called from, e.g. individually for marked signals (via signal list), for all signals sharing an axis (via an axis), for all signals within a strip (via a strip), or for all signals (via toolbar icon).
To move an axis:
- Drag the scale in the desired direction with a pressed left mouse button.
Alternately, move the mouse cursor over an axis and turn the mouse scroll.
The entire axis range will be moved.
Note
The time axis range can only be moved when the display is paused.
To expand/shrink an axis range:
- Move the mouse cursor over an axis.
Hold the Ctrl button and turn the mouse scroll.
The axis range will expand/shrink.
Note
The time axis range can only be expanded/shrunk when the display is paused.
