Creating, Saving, and Deleting a Database
To create a new INCA database:
In the Database menu, select New.
The New database dialog box opens.
- Specify a name for the new database.
Click OK.
The new database is created with the default path for INCA databases and opened.

If you work with two or more databases, you can keep the data volume low and make optimal use of the full INCA performance. |
To save the INCA database:
In the Database menu, select Save.
To save the database under a new name and/or a different database type:
In the Database menu, select Save as.
The Save database as dialog box opens.
Select the directory in which you want to save the database.
To create a new directory in the current directory, click New and specify a directory name.
Note
The Database Type shows the type of the currently opened database. In INCA V7.3 (x64) or later, you can only save a database as INCA 7 x64 database. To save the current database in another database type, use the export function, see Editing Database Objects.
Click OK.
A copy of the current database is saved in the specified directory. The copy is opened as the current database.
To delete an INCA database:
In the Database menu, select Delete database.
The Delete database dialog box opens.
Select the database you want to delete.
The Delete database dialog box opens.
If the database you want to delete is not listed, do the following:
Select <select path>.
The Select database path dialog box opens.
- Select the directory containing the database.
Click OK.
The database is deleted.
