Variable Selection Preferences Dialog Box
To go to this dialog box, in the Variable Selection Dialog
, click the User Options button
.
In the Variable Selection Preferences dialog box, you can set guidelines which apply to variables selection.
The following tabs are available:
General
On the General tab, the following options are available:
Font size | Changes the font size of the variables list. |
Right-justify raster headers | Right-justifies the raster headers. |
Show containers flat in tree view | Represents the container in 2D in the tree view. |
Show version | Shows the version of a function. |
Add grouped variables to separate display widgets | Defines if the newly selected grouped variables are added to one widget or to separate widgets. |
Saves the filters you have set up for use in future Variable Selection Dialogue (VSD) sessions. Filter Storage

Variable Details
Adapts the variable details displayed in the information window.
In the Variable Details tab, the following variable details are available:
- Data source
- Role
- Type
- Element Type
- ECU Address
- Location
- Bytes
- Bitmask
- Unit
- Description
- Display ID
- Frame
- Parent Containers
Display Configuration
In the Display configuration tab, you can define the maximum number of variables that can be added to an INCA instrument. You can individually define the maximum number of variables for the following INCA instruments:
Calibration Window
Combined Editor
Measure Table
Measure Window
Scalar Table Editor
XY Oscilloscope
YT Oscilloscope
