Defining the Maximum Number of Variables for an INCA Instrument

You can define the maximum number of variables for all INCA instruments for variable selection.

If you add more variables than defined to an INCA instrument, the additional variables are moved to a new instrument.

To define the maximum number of variables:

  1. In the Experiment Environment, click .

The dialog box Variable Selection opens.

  2. Click .

The dialog box Variable Selection Preferences opens.

  3. Select the Display Configuration tab.

  4. In the Maximum variables per widget list, define the maximum number of variables for a particular INCA instrument.

    Note

If you add variables to the instrument manually, then the maximum number of variables in an instrument can be exceeded.

  5. Click OK.

The maximum number of variables for the instrument is defined.

    Note

This change only affects variables that are selected after the maximum number of variables is defined. Already preselected variables as well as existing instruments are not affected.
