Calculation Rules for Prognosis
Calibration menu > Prognosis > Calculation Rules
To adjust the values of model outputs to known parameters and to certain driving cycles, conversions and weightings are performed here.
The Calculation Rules for Prognosis window contains the following elements:
-
Load
Opens the Load Prognosis Calculation Rule from ini window. Here you can load an existing template as a configuration file (Load > Template) or a created configuration (Load > Settings (* .ini)).
-
Save Settings (*.ini)
Opens the Save Configuration As window. This allows you to save a created configuration in a file (*.ini) and use it later on again (Load > Settings (*.ini)).
-
Apply
Applies the current configuration for the model prediction.
-
OP Weights
Opens the Prognosis OP-Weights window.
-
Show Results
Opens the Prognosis Results window.
-
Quit
Closes the Calculation Rules for Prognosis window.
OP List Based and Driving Cycle Based
-
Name
The name of the converted parameter
-
Unit
The unit of the prognosis value.
-
S Weight_i/sum(Weight)x
Normalization of the weighting (the individual weightings are edited with Weights)
-
OP List
Note
Only available in the OP List Based tab.
If several lists of operating points were created (see Operating Points Manager), these lists can be selected in the OP List drop-down lists.
-
Cycle
Note
Only available in the Driving Cycle Based tab.
If several lists with driving cycle data were created (see Driving Cycle Manager), these lists can be selected in the Cycle drop-down lists.
-
Output
The output for which the prognosis shall be calculated. Enables the "inversion" of the result (e.g. to convert from l/100 km to the "inverse" unit miles/gallon).
-
Factor
The conversion factor to be used. See also
example 1 and
example 2.
Example 1: The conversion factor for pollutant emissions measured in the European driving cycle in g/h to g/km is 0.02961:
[g/h] divided by 3600 → [g/s], multiplied by 1180 s cycle duration and divided by 11.07 km cycle length → [g/km]
Example 2: In this tutorial, the conversion factor for fuel consumption measured in kg/h to l/100 km is 3.567:
[kg/h] divided by 3600 → [kg/s], multiplied by1180 s cycle duration and divided by 11.07 km cycle length → [kg/km], multiplied by 100 → [kg/100 km], divided by fuel density (0.83 kg/l) → [l/100km]
-
OP1 Factor / OP2 Factor
If multiplication with the speed or load is necessary at every operating point for a conversion, this can be selected here. This is necessary, for example, when converting injection quantity/injection process (in g) to a consumption rate (in l/100 km).
-

Opens the Prognosis Results window.
-
Weights
Note
Only available in the OP List Based tab.
Opens the Prognosis OP-Weights window.
Note |
---|
The Driving Cycle Based tab is only useful if you have previously imported a cycle trajectory in the Driving Cycles window (Calibration > Driving Cycles). |
Both tabs contain similar columns and buttons.
OK
Applies your settings and closes the window.
Apply
Applies your settings, but does not close the window.
Cancel
Discards your settings and closes the window.
