Context Menu Components (Block Diagram)

In the "Specification" view of the block diagram editor for SWCsClosed AUTOSAR software component (singular; plural is SWCs), the context menu of an included component contains the following functions:

Views

Opens the Views options dialog window. All available views are listed, and the visibility of the included component in each view can be edited.

Create ASCET Link

Creates an ASCET link (see ASCET Links) that opens the component and highlights the included component in the drawing area.

Bring to Front

Places the selected diagram element in front of all other objects in the drawing area.

Send to Back

Places the selected diagram element in the back of all other objects in the drawing area.

Ports

Opens a submenu to change the way the component ports are displayed in the selected graphical occurrence.

Layout

Opens a submenu to change the appearance of the selected diagram element.

Attributes

Opens the Layout Settings window.

Enable flexible layout

Shows if flexible layout has been activated in the component manager or not. Can be used to determine whether the layout of this component can be altered whenever the component is included in a block diagram or project.

Select Icon

Adds an icon from the database/workspace to the layout.

Remove Icon

Removes the icon from the layout.

Use default Attributes

Restores the default layout defined in the layout editor of the component (see Restoring the Default Layout).

Set Attributes as default

Uses the current layout of the selected graphical occurrence as new default layout for the component (see Using Changes as a New Default Layout).

Show Sequence Calls

Shows the sequence calls.

Temporary Variable

Note

Temporary variables are deprecated; they will be removed in a future ASCET version. Consider using common subexpression elimination instead.

Adds a temporary variable to the output(s) of the included component.

Remove Occurrence

Removes the graphical occurrence of a selected component from the diagram (but not from the edited component).

Browse Connected Elements

Browses the elements connected to the selected included component.

Replace Component

Replaces a component with another included component. The name of the old component remains.

Open Component

Opens the specification editor for a selected included component.

Properties

Opens the Properties editor for a selected included component.

Data

Opens the data editor for a selected included component.

Implementation

Opens the implementation editor for a selected included component. Search of component implementations is possible.

Show Path

Shows the path of the selected included component.

Show Occurrences

Shows all graphical occurrences of the included component.

Show Referencing Element

Displays all elements in the component that reference the selected element. See also Searching Elements that Refer a Selected Element.
