Accessing Calibration Parameters

  1. Specify the required Calibration interface prototype(s).
  2. Open the Parameter Mapping tab.

    The Imported Parameter column in the Mapping field lists all imported parameters (scalar, array or record) from all classes and modules directly or indirectly used in the software component. The Calibration Parameter column in the Mapping field is used to map the imported parameters.

    The mapping rules defined in Parameter Mapping apply.

  3. If necessary, open the Mapping menu and select Update to import changes in the classes/modules and calibration interfaces into the SWC.
  4. If desired, filter the columns.
  5. To use automatic mapping, proceed Closedas follows.

    1. In the combo box, enter or select a pattern for auto-mapping.
    2. Do one of the following:

      • Click the Auto-Mapping button.
      • Open the Mapping menu and select Auto-Mapping.
      • Right-click in the Parameter Mapping view and select Auto-Mapping from the context menu.

      All imported parameters and calibration parameters (including elements of records in the calibration interface) with matching element name and type are mapped. The results are shown in the Mapping field.

      The mapped imported parameter and calibration parameter are removed from the upper table.

  6. To map imported parameters and calibration parameters manually in the Mapping field, proceed Closedas follows.

    1. Double-click in a cell in the Calibration Parameter column.

      A list with all available calibration parameters (including elements of records in the calibration interface) opens.

    2. Select a calibration parameter.

      The mapping is performed. The results are shown in the Mapping field.

      The mapped imported parameter and calibration parameter are removed from the upper table.

  7. To map imported parameters and calibration parameters manually in the upper table (hidden by default), proceed Closedas follows.

    1. If necessary, click to show the upper table.
    2. In the Imported Parameter column of the upper table, select an imported parameter.
    3. In the Calibration Parameter column, select a calibration parameter.

      The button becomes available if the selected elements can be mapped.

    4. Click the button to map the selected elements.

      Or

    5. Drag a parameter from the Imported Parameter column and drop it onto a suitable element in the Calibration Parameter column.

      The mapping is performed. The results are shown in the Mapping field.

      The mapped imported parameter and calibration parameter are removed from the upper table.

  8. If desired, import an existing mapping.
  9. To remove a mapping, proceed Closedas follows.

    1. In the Mapping field, Imported Parameter or Calibration Parameter column, select a mapped element.
    2. Do one of the following:

      • Open the context menu or the Mapping menu and select Remove.
      • Press <Delete>.

      Or

    3. Double-click a cell in the Calibration Parameter column and select <None>.

      The mapping is removed. The imported parameter and the calibration parameter reappear in the upper table.

    The middle column in the Mapping field shows the mapping status: – unmapped / – mapping is valid / – mapping is invalid.
