Importing Mappings

You can import message, parameter, and/or NV variable mappings from a mapping export file.

  1. Go to a Closedmapping tab.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click in the Mapping field and select Import from the context menu.
    • Open the Mapping menu and select Import.

    • In the File menu, open the Import submenu and select Mapping.

      This possibility is available anywhere in the SWC editor, not only in one of the mapping tabs.

    A file selection window opens. You can filter the display either for XML (*.XML) or CSV (*.CSV) format.

  3. Select the mapping export file you want to import.

    Note

    All mappings in the export file will be imported. There is no check if the imported mappings are valid or invalid in the SWC.

    Existing mappings of Receive messages in the Mapping fields are overwritten, existing mappings of Send or SendReceive messages are kept.

  4. Click Open to import the mappings in the selected file.
  5. Check each mapping tab and correct invalid mappings.
