Setting Up Automatic Import

When a load path is set for a block library item, the component is offered for import when the block library is used in a database/workspace that does not contain the component. This can happen in the block library editor and in a specification editor that allows using block libraries.

If a component is offered for import, the Import Missing Library Item window opens. You are asked whether you want to import the missing component.

  1. Activate Remember my Decision if you want to apply your answer to all such cases.

    Note

The export file can contain other components than the one requested by the block library.

You can revoke this setting in the ASCET options window, Confirmation Dialogs node.

  2. Click No to skip the import.

  3. Click Yes to import the missing component.

The "Import" window lists the content of the file.

  4. Select the items to be imported and click OK.

The selected items are imported. Afterwards, the imported items are listed in the Imported Items window. When you click an item in the Imported Items window, it is highlighted in the Component Manager.
