ASCET Workspace

An ASCET workspace is represented on the file system by a root folder that contains the following elements:

• An XML file (*.aws) that contains information about the components in the workspace.

  Note
  Only files listed in the *.aws file belong to the workspace.

• Folders and subfolders that contain the components themselves, in the form of AMD files (see AMD Export for more details on AMD files).

  Each folder in the workspace is represented by a folder or subfolder in the root folder on the file system (see the example).

  EXAMPLE

The size of an ASCET workspace is unlimited.

In a workspace, you cannot define access rights and password protection, and no maintenance beyond discarding the generated code and forcing a new build is possible.
