Searching Elements that Refer a Selected Element

Model elements can be referenced by other elements. To search the elements that reference a selected block diagram element, proceed as follows.

1. Right-click an element in the drawing area or in the Outline tab and select Show Referencing Elements from the context menu.

   The Search Results view opens. It contains the tabs Elements, Data and Implementation, and it lists all elements that reference the selected element.

2. Work in the tabs as described in the following topics.

   • Editing Element Properties
   • Renaming Elements
   • Deleting Elements
   • Copying Elements
   • Editing Data
   • Copying Data
   • Editing Implementations
   • Copying Implementations

3. In the Elements tab, do the following, according to your needs:

   1. Right-click a group characteristic line or map and select Distribution from the context menu.

      The Distribution for dialog window opens. You can change the distributions selected for the group characteristic line/map.

   2. Right-click an element and select Show Referencing Elements from the context menu.

      The Search Results view lists all elements that reference the selected element.

4. To close the Search Results view, do one of the following.

   • Click the X at the top right of the field to hide the field.
   • In the View menu, point to Show/Hide and select Search Results.
