Locking a Configuration

Proceed as follows to lock a configuration:

In the ASCET component manager, select the configurations you want to lock.
In the SCM menu, point to Configuration Management and select Get Lock for Configuration.
The configurations are locked. Their associated icons now include a green circle, , which indicates the locked state. The Lock Configuration: Results dialog box shows the results of the operation.
Close the Lock Configuration: Results dialog box.

Note
You have to lock the items in the configuration before you can edit them.

When you are done editing the configuration, you can unlock it so that it can be locked by another user, or commit it to the Subversion repository.
