Adding and Committing an Item (Advanced Mode)
Note |
|---|
By default, the Simple Mode user interface is used for adding and committing. To add and commit items in Advanced Mode (as described below), deactivate the Simple Mode user interface first. |
In most organizations, software under development is brought under centralized control by an administrator who takes care of repository management. The following instructions are primarily intended for users who want to add local items to the Subversion repository.
Proceed as follows to bring items under version control:
- In the ASCET component manager, select the item(s) you want to commit.
Select Add and Commit from the SCM menu.
The Add and Commit dialog box (Advanced Mode) is displayed.
Optionally, you can select or create a repository folder for the items you want to place under version control.
Click Finish to complete the operation.
The Step 2 of 2 page of the Add and Commit dialog box displays the result of this operation. See also: Result Dialog Box.
