Import XCP A2L File...
This function allows you to import an existing XCP A2L file. XCT reads the file and extracts configuration data such as memory segments and events (rasters) that can be used in XCT.
Since an A2L file does not contain information about the underlying ETK or controller, this information must be selected during the import process. The imported configuration may require further adaptation in XCT before it can be merged back into an A2L file, adapting the original XCP device configuration and adding the ETK configuration.
- In the File menu, select A2L File Handling.
- Select Import XCP A2L File....
- On your file system, select the A2L file you would like to import.
- Click on the Open button.
-
Adjust settings in Hardware Settings,Memory Layout Editor, Trace Window, DISTAB and Raster.
After the configuration has been adapted, it can be written back to an A2L file:
-
Open the Filemenu.
-
Select A2L File Handling , select Merge A2L Definitions Into Existing A2L File.
-
Select an existing target A2L file.
