Create new Project
The use of the function Create New Project (Ctrl + N) is to configure an (X)ETK device for the first time. Till now
there is no previously generated configuration
A configuration is the virtual representation of all settings of an (X)ETK device. It is always assigned to one specific (X)ETK device type and always exists as part of a project. An (X)ETK configuration is valid, if it represents an (X)ETK device in that way that it works together with the ECU properly. for this project A project is a container for configurations. Projects offer the possibility to work with configurations. Projects allow you to use basic file management operations typical for MS Windows applications.. You can select one or more (X)ETK types from a list of supported (X)ETK types
and specify a file name. A new default configuration for each selected
type is created. All configuration parameters are preset to reasonable
values.
- On the File menu, click on New Project.

Select the (X)ETK type(s) you would like to open with the project.
When the dialog box is opened, you can select from any (X)ETK type. Once you have selected an entry, only those (X)ETK types and default micro controllers are enabled for further selection which are compatible to the type you selected in the first step.
- Select the default micro controller.
- Click on the OK button.
