Cause: Timeout at ECU Access
If an error of the type "Timeout at ECU access" is displayed, one of the following causes applies in most cases:
A trigger has been released by the ECU. However, the ETAS system, consisting of an ETK and one or more ESxxx devices, was not able to collect the data.
This situation may occur with a certain likelihood if you are using an ECU with a serial ETK, and the ECU directly goes from operation, with a measurement running, into reset (either enforced externally or by a software reset).
In this case the following happens: At the end of the task, the ECU releases a trigger in the ETK. Thereupon the ETAS system tries to collect the data; however, this fails because the ECU is being reset, or the JTAG interface is locked.
