Troubleshooting: ETK-Specific Problems

During a calibration task problems might occur where the cause is not immediately clear.

This help describes problems that might occur when working with INCA as software and an ETAS system including ETK as hardware. For each of the described problems, possible causes and solutions will be described.

Basically, the following causes might account for the errors that occurred during the measurement:

Error Statistics is Displayed after Finishing a Measurement

If errors occur during a measurement, INCA displays a message box after finishing the measurement, which lists statistics on the errors that have occurred:

When you click on the Details button, further information on the listed errors gets displayed.

Note

Timeouts do not necessarily indicate a problem.
Error statistics including a small number of timeout problems, as the one displayed above, are normal if the ECU runs through resets during operation.
However, if a larger number of errors occur (also of other types), or if you are sure that the ECU has not been reset while the measurement was running, the statistics indicates that a problem persists.
